As the river flows explores the unintended consequences of human intervention in the natural world. By filling the holes on tree trunks with cement, this work aims to question the effectiveness of such measures in preventing pests and highlight the damaging effects they can have on the tree itself. The invasion of the cement into the body of the tree creates a metaphor for the negative impact of over-urbanization on our environment. Through this series, we hope to encourage a deeper consideration of the long-term effects of our actions on the delicate balance of the natural world and to promote a more sustainable approach to urban development.
